Indian rowers to leave for London on Monday with Medal hope

India's Three member will leave for London Olympics 2012 on Monday with hope of Medal which might be difficult but all faith depends on Swaran Singh (single sculls), Manjeet Singh and Sandeep Kumar (double sculls, lightweight). They will leave for London Olympics on Monday. Chandigarh rower Manjeet Singh said, "Our first target is to qualify for the final D. After that we will reconsider our strategy." Rowers are all pumped up and raring to have a go. "This is my second Games and I am confident of putting up a good show. Our preparations have been good and we hope to do well. For last few months we have been training with latest equipments and we have had foreign exposure too," he said.
The Indians, who will continue to train at the Hussain Sagar Lake in Hyderabad till their departure for London on July 17, know that there was a huge gap between them and the traditional rowing powerhouses from Europe and North America
