Michael Phelps become highest medal winner in Olympic

Michael Phelps has become the most decorated Olympian of all time by winning his 19th Olympic medal while 16 year old Chinese swimmer Shiwen crated history and shrugged off a cloud of doping speculation to complete a medley double. The US swimmer Michael Phelps bagged gold in the 4x200m freestyle relay, his 19th medal after bittersweet silver in the 200m butterfly. Phelps' record of 15 Olympic gold medals includes eight from his spectacular Beijing Games campaign as well as six from Athens in 2004. He also won two bronze in Athens and has won two silver in London.
South Africa's Chad le Clos denied Phelps' bid for a 200m butterfly treble by a hair on Tuesday, but silver allowed the US superstar the consolation of matching Soviet gymnast Larisa Latynina's record of 18 Olympic medals. Chinese 16-year-old Ye Shiwen shrugged off a cloud of doping speculation to complete a medley double, winning the 200m individual medley in an Olympic and Asian record of 2:07.57. Ye had also won the 400-meter individual medley on the opening day of the Olympic swimming competition.
