Vikas Gowda finishes 8th in London Olympics

Vikas Gowda lost in the discus throw final held today and finished eighth in London Olympics 2012. Having made it to the big final with a good effort of 65.20 metres, one would have expected the tall Indian to go flat out in a world class field.
His score in six attempt was 64.79, 60.95, 63.03, 64.15, 64.48 and 63.89 which is lower than qualification round but good for athletics and India is that he join the Olympics finalist.
Gold: Germany's HARTING Robert = 68.27 M
Silver: Iran's HADADI Ehsan =     68.18 M
Bronze: Estonia' KANTER Gerd = 68.03 M
